Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (Endoscopy)
Examine your gastrointestinal tract with an endoscopy—simple, painless, and effective.
Endoscopy is a modern and safe diagnostic procedure that uses a small, advanced camera with a built-in light source at its tip. This allows doctors to view the interior of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract to detect abnormalities. It can be performed via the mouth or rectum, enabling examination of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and colon. Immediate treatment can be provided if any issues are identified during the procedure.
Types of Endoscopy
Types of Endoscopy
Endoscopy is neither painful nor intimidating, as many fear! Patients can choose between two sedation options
1. Local Anesthetic : After the procedure, you can go home immediately.
2. Sedation or General Anesthesia : This requires about two hours of recovery before discharge. Patients should avoid driving and arrange for a relative or friend to assist, as the medication may cause drowsiness or reduced alertness.
• Age 45 or older, or a family history of gastrointestinal cancers.
• Chronic abdominal pain, frequent bloating, or other persistent symptoms.
• Rapid, unexplained weight loss.
• Difficulty swallowing or pain during swallowing.
• Blood in stool or abnormal black stool color.

Fibro Scan : A Painless, Non-Invasive Liver Assessment with Instant Results
Take proactive care of your liver health with modern, accurate technology from the Fibro Scan.
What is a Fibro Scan?
Fibro Scan is a cutting-edge diagnostic technology that measures liver stiffness and fat accumulation without the need for traditional tissue biopsies. It is ideal for detecting liver fibrosis, fatty liver disease, or other liver conditions. The procedure is painless, safe, and accurate, allowing patients to return home immediately after the scan.
Advantages of Fibro Scan
• Painless and Non-Invasive: No needles or surgeries are involved.
• Quick Results: The procedure takes just 10 minutes.
• Accurate and Reliable: Advanced sound wave technology provides results comparable to traditional biopsy methods.
• Safe and Convenient: Patients can resume their normal activities immediately after the scan.
1. The doctor places a signal-emitting probe on the right side of the ribcage
2. Low-frequency sound waves are transmitted into the liver and reflected back.
3. The software interprets the speed of the reflected waves to provide measurements of liver stiffness and fat levels
Fibro Scan is suitable for individuals with liver-related risks or conditions, such as:
• Fatty liver disease or liver inflammation from alcohol consumption.
• Overweight individuals or those with high cholesterol levels.
• History of liver fibrosis, cirrhosis, or other liver diseases.
• Regular alcohol consumption.
• Health-conscious individuals seeking preventive care.
